Fitting instructions:

1. Fix the base ring with gasket and sealant as shown using self tapping screws provided
2. Select a drilled bung to suit the size of cable or if using a blank bung drill using a twist bit 2mm larger than the cable diameter
3. Insert the cable and screw the top to the base using the machine screws provided
4. If required the centre seal can be cut, using a sharp blade, to the nearest outside edge to allow installation of a cable with an end fitting (as shown).

Fitting instructions

Fitting tips:

1. When drilling the centre bung with a twist bit, the material is pushed outwards by the action of the rotating drill. When the bit is withdrawn from the hole the material will contract back into the hole making it smaller, hence the need for the oversize drill bit.
2. A sharp twist bit should be used when drilling the centre bung, this will make the cleanest hole for your cable transit.
3. If using a centre bit, punch or hole saw, drill to same diameter of cable and not over size.
4.Freezing the centre bung is also an option to aid the drilling process. Place the bung in a freezer overnight, remove and drill immediately. If using this method, drill using the same size twist bit as the cable diameter.
5.To help cable or pipe installation through the bung a lubricant can be used.
